Are You Making These Deadly Mistakes In Your Twitter Marketing Campaign

Do you think Twitter can help you promote products? It is definitely able, but first you must learn the mistakes to avoid so that you can make the most of it.

Relationship building is the core of any Twitter marketing campaign and starting to market to your followers without doing this would be a big mistake. You first need to concentrate on forming these bonds with your contacts before you actually start sending them tweets about your products. The idea is to form relationships with people so that they trust you, and then when you market they won’t even notice that you’re marketing. It’s a mistake to think of Twitter marketing as just another form of marketing.

You need to use it instead as a way to form bonds with your followers. The idea is to let that trust build in so that any products or services you promote in the future will be extremely well received. You are essentially helping your followers with issues they may have and you’re offering to fix it with your products. You are doing more recommending than you are selling. There is absolutely no way that you can make it big on Twitter by skipping this crucial part. Stay away from those mistakes if you hope to succeed.

What would you do if someone you didn’t know came up to you and offered you a product or service? You must send tweets, and offer useful tips and hints, and then you can work on the marketing aspect once they trust you. It’s best not to just blast your followers with promotion links. If you want to recommend them a certain product, first warm them up about it. In other words, buffer your offer with some useful information first. You might have a product that involves curing acne, and in this case you would give people advice on acne and then you would say that they should really get rid of it.

You can sweeten the deal by telling them about some things they can try, but that these things you’re telling them about are impossible or they don’t work. You must first let them know that only your product will take care of their problem, and then you must convince them that they need to do it fast. You want them to trust you and they will, but they won’t if you just start sending them links to your products without first communicating with them. You don’t want to come off like you’re trying to sell them something, and instead you’ll want to appear as though you’re really concerned and you want to help them with the issue they’re having.

Don’t commit the other common Twitter mistake which is to use the incorrect language. If you use offensive language, don’t be surprised if people start abandoning your followers list. Remember that you want them to see you as an authority figure and someone they can go to in order to solve their problems. If you act inappropriately, your reputation may be ruined. All in all, Twitter can really send your business soaring and it can make you lots of money if you use it the proper way and you stay away from the mistakes you just learned about.

Being a successful marketer means to have people know, like and trust you. Building relationships on Tweeter (and other social media networks) is one great way of doing that.

I for one, used Tweeter to get people to connect with me on Facebook where I was able to have them join my group and converse more easily.
