ClickBank vs. PayDotCom?

When it comes to preparing your own
affiliate program, you’ll want to go
with the affiliate merchant that will
offer the best features, support and
stability.

There are two main affiliate merchants
when it comes to selling digital
products online.

ClickBank and PayDotCom.

Let’s take a look at the advantages and
disadvantages of both.

1. Commission theft.

With ClickBank, it’s very easy for
someone to find your vendor ID and buy
through their own affiliate link and
you have very little control over who
your payouts are going to.

However, with PayDotCom affiliates must
enter their PayPal account upon
registration.

Should an affiliate attempt to buy from
his affiliate link, the system will
automatically deduct the commission,
making vendor get 100% profit.

One drawback though is that with
PayDotCom you will have to pay your
affiliates manually every month whereas
ClickBank do this automatically for
you. A great time saver if you’ve got
numberous sites!

2. No waiting for payment.

With PayDotCom all payments are paid
via PayPal by the product vendor. With
ClickBank however there is a time delay
before you can receive your first
paycheck. However payments are always
accurate and on time.

3. Initial fees.

With most affiliate merchants, there is
an account creation fee which must be
overlooked.

Unlike Clickbank and 2Checkout and
other merchants PayDotCom is cheapest.

Do note however that if your product is
successful, your long-term income will
pay off after any initial fees.

I choose Clickbank over PayDotCom any day. They are so reliable. I would use it to get another income source though, of course :)
